Great positive feedback

I was at a retail store yesterday that was participating in the CPIC Checked program, and overheard a customer pointing to their friend to a CPIC poster.  They asked one another if they had seen it before, (the poster illustrating that everyone in the store has been checked for criminal records), and one acknowledged that was the reason why they continue to use the said retailer.

Retailers take note that the little things, like the CPIC Checked program, are the things that keep the customers coming back.

I am uncomfortable about other people looking into my past records!

Perfect concern!  Me too!

The great thing about the person being fingerprinted (you have the control, on who sees your check),

You are the only person that can authorize who can receive your criminal record check.  This authorization is done in writing.  We take full responsibility if there are any breaches to this written authorization.  Whether its your boss or co worker, they must have full authorization before receiving your CPIC check.

I would admit that if were to take fingerprints and released the said informations to any third party, without authorizations, we would clearly be crossing individual privacy issues.

Security tip for customers leaving their personal electronic devices ie Cell phones, tablets, or computers.

We deal with a lot of of third party dealers who hold onto customer's electronic devices with their personal pass codes or passwords.  The problem can occur when unauthorized persons gain access to these pass codes and passwords.  We (humans) are creatures of habit and tend to use similar or familiar passwords.
ALWAYS DISABLE YOUR PASSWORD BEFORE HANDING YOUR DEVICE OVER TO ANY THIRD PARTY, and ALWAYS CHANGE YOUR PASS CODES.
Don't take any chances with your personal passwords, no persons or organizations should be asking to write down your passwords or pass codes.

I can get my own finger prints done, why should I use CPIC Checked??

Absolutely true, anyone can get there criminal record checked on their own.
We are trying to establish "the industry standard" for being criminal record free.  At the same time, making the process easier, for business to showcase their integrity and a platform for customers / clients to screen the prospective vendors.
